Vladimir Kramnik on DVD
I received my copy of Vladimir Kramnik: My Path to the Top yesterday, and it's terrific - I plan to inflict it on as many people as I can! Kramnik often seems taciturn in his interviews and reluctant to give his audience any insight into his thinking or methods, but that's not the case here. In addition to his commentary on many of his career highlights (primarily against Kasparov, Leko and Topalov, with one further game each against Karpov and Nunn), he offers many anecdotes, training tips and psychological ideas, often with a sense of humor and genuine humility. Very inspiring (even if it's also scary to hear him say that he was a 2000 player at the age of 7), and very highly recommended.
