Although I think this instance was silly and a waste of FIDE's money to consider it, I know Bjelica personally and this was not the only time he spread lies about people.
I won't give the link, because it was all a lie, but ChessBase.com printed a story a few years ago that was given to them by Sam Sloan about a Super Grandmaster. The reason given by the editor for printing this falsehood was that it was confirmed by Dimitrije Bjelica?!
