A true mess. But as to Kasparov's claim, there are many countries all over this world with 'questionable democrats' in charge. I've never been a supporter of Putin, Georgia or the US, but how to stop this senseless landgrabbing is beyond me...

Surprising to read this in an American paper. Normally in most countries, political opponents bury the hatchet at least during war/national crisis. Even in Georgia, where there is strong opposition to Saakashvilli, everyone rallied around the flag. I can't make out Kasparov's constituency, if he has one.
