Great study thanks - really enjoyed trying to solve it
i got it after just over an hour! It didn't just come to me like you - it was a lot of trial and error but when i saw the brilliant move and sort of knew that must be right (with a smile creeping over my face!) (-:

It took me maybe 20 minutes (with a break in between when I was ready to give up). The funny thing is that I first looked for various other mates (Rb3 if the black bishop somehow disappears from the board, R:a4 if the rook is somehow protected) - but both work only if white can make two moves in a row.
Then, yes, suddenly I realized (with pleasure) that the e-file is the right place for the rook [I had seen the motive c3/Bc1 mate before].
